TRUTH IS A PATHLESS LAND by:J. Krishnamurti
Man cannot come to it(truth) through any organization, through any creed, through any dogma, priest, or ritual, nor through any philosophical technique. He has to find it through the mirror of relationship, through understanding of the contents of his mind, through observation and not through intellectual analysis or introspective dissection. Man has built in himself images as a fence of security-religious, political, personal. These manifest as symbols, ideas, beliefs, the burden of these images dominate man's thinking, his relatiohships, and his daily life. These images are the cause of our problems, for they devide man from man!

Hey laloba!
Haven't talked toyou in awhile..how have you been?
I love love love your post..I'm a fan of his writings..

In appreciation here's an article(by Rosemary ellen Guiley) I like this..(I'm sure you have this one laloba!..but for others out there who may not know much about him...here it is....enjoy!)

Krishnamurti was a spiritual teacher, described as one of the most influential teachers of the 20th century. He led no school, nor did he believe in any one path to truth. Instead he denounced all occult theories, organizations,& structured methods as impediments to the search for true reality. He taught that "TRUE Understanding" was attained only through complete awareness of the mind & it's images mirrored through relationships. In order to reach this state, people must come to terms with the following psychological processes in order to "Free Themselves"....

1~AWARENESS~A state of total attention, inwhich the mind does not struggle or concentrate, does not organize impressions, analyze,or even think. At complete attention thought does not exist, only absorption of observations.Such state is true meditation.

2~THOUGHT~Accumulated memories, knowledge,& experience, probably arising from conditioning or past response. It is thought that produces"me". For awareness to function, thought must be silent & still.

3~IMAGINATION~The preconcieved images, opinions, ideas & judgments that distort our perceptions.these images let one compare oneself to others & create psychological & cultural barriers between oneself & others. As wiht thought, images end with unconditional observation.

4~CONDITIONING~The shaping of each person by his/her past experiences/thoughts.The only way to break through this is through awareness & acceptance of "what is" without making choices.

5~KNOWLEDGE & LEARNING~Past thoughts, images which are able to bring anything new into being ,are knowledge.Learning is an active stae defined by doing, made possible through awareness without assumptions.

6~FEAR,MEMORY,ATTACHMENT,DEPENDENCE~The pleasures, pains, bonds of past experience.By continually seeking pleasure, the mind is inviting pain & fear of pleasure's end.Only when thought does not interfere can fear be understood.

7~CONFLICT~the divisive nature of thought, which results in fragmentation & violence.Krishnamurti abhorred all violent reponse, war, interpersonal conflict.

8~RELATIONSHIP~An understanding of the self coming from total unification both physically, psychologically.Thought destroys relationship, salvaged only through awareness.

9~INTELLIGENCE~The seeing of "what is". True Intelligence has nothing to do with knowledge or thought, but exists only through harmony & "stillness" of the mind, bringing freedom from thought without conflict or violence.

*Krishnamurti also taught that systems do not transform people....people transform systems. He believed real change-revolution-occured when people moved from sense perceptions to values unencumbered by outside influences.

Anyways..it's alot to think about & a very interesting understanding of things!!
