On and off, it has been a hot topic whether yoga has pagan elements and demonic roots. What you people think considering the very indent of yoga that has been practised world wide and the documentary evidences suggesting a health body and mind?

Paganism is essentially all pre-Christian religions and are not demonic by definition unless they consciously chose to worship the demonic gods. Paganism is the guiding of humanity in a positive sense is the idea that for human perception the divine-spiritual is in some way to be found in nature. In the contemplation of nature pagans felt that even humanity arises out of the becoming and the weaving of the phenomena of nature, that as man he feels himself related in his whole existence in his whole evolving, with what is there in nature and what is coming into existence through nature. Then, to crown what he can gain by his perception of nature, paganism seeks to grasp what is living in nature as divine and spiritual. This is essentially the worship of the Creator principle and in those ancient times there was an ancient clairvoyance that was a normal part of human consciousness that guided this nature worship. Today it needs to be balanced with the Cosmic Intelligence and the divine principle of Love which have since then become essential to the evolution of our consciousness. Without this is devolves towards fatalism and materialism. It was right in its time but not enough for the current human consciousness.
Yoga from the Ancient Indian culture again was appropriate in its time when the light of human consciousness was in the breath. Today the light of human consciousness is in the spiritualised thinking. Spiritual development requires methods of spiritual development appropriate to our times.
Demons are spiritual entities that test us. By resisting and overcoming their purposes and intents upon us we strengthen our spiritual consciousness through a balance between the Divine principles of the Creator, Love and Intelligence.
I find yoga to be an excellent means of fitness and relaxation. I do not use it for spiritual development.
