Love, and confusion...

Unable to explain the title with words...
This was going to be a vent focusing on something else, but luckily I considered before posting.
Now that my ego(to my knowledge, hard to explain in detail, yet not of the soul's destiny) has thrown in it's two cents, I am reminded why I am spiritual.
1. Are we the only grain of sand with life?
2. A nut and bolt doesn't assemble itself by chance. I can't say who put us here, but signs point to something I can't explain.
3. The Milky Way is estimated to be 300 BILLION LIGHTYEARS across! And... this is small compared to other galaxies that have been found. 300 BILLION YEARS to travel from one end to the other, at the speed of LIGHT! Many stars we see, are other galaxies far away, and often larger than ours. It's obvious humans didn't put these out there, so, I am left to decide between the epitome of pure chance, or intention. Random number generators have been placed across the world, and they usually display similar sequences/patterns of numbers before major events, which leads me to believe that numbers are not random. Pure chance, or intention? I don't believe in pure chance(however I sometimes use the term instead of going off on tangents for the sake of understanding), which leaves only intention. Our existence was intended. Try pushing a rock bigger than yourself, only using your body, and you'll find that rock is intent on staying put. The closer I think I am to an explanation on why I believe in Creator, I realize how far away I really am. The closer I am, the farther I am. But to get back on track...
Think of ALL of existence on a molecular level. Let's start with a grain of sand: Countless molecules make up this often overlooked structure. Step it up to a rock: How many grains of sand and/or dirt are in it? Think of the street. Then the freeway, then the world, solar system, galaxy, existence as a whole. Did all this really happen by chance? I can't say for sure, but from what I've gathered, my opinion is "no." We were put here, BY something. Humans are humans, therefore we think like humans. Aliens? I'm not an alien so I cannot understand an alien. Animals are animals. Yeah, we have some crazy thoughts at times, but we are still human. We only understand what we are intended to understand. Nothing less, nothing more.
What I'm trying to say is, metaphysics cannot be explained physically. Metaphysics I believe are more important than physics. Inner beauty VS a nice body. Inner beauty. This is what matters. Yet another clue, in my opinion. I'm beginning to beat a dead horse here.

I hope this makes sense.

Make perfect sense to me. I know that when I start to think in the terms you just explained I get overwhelmed. I very much believe we are here by design...how or what I have no idea. Creator as the first cause? Well who or what designed creator?

These days I just focus on what I am able to understand and hope that understanding continues to grow.

"Who or what designed creator?"
I don't know, but this question further expounds the message I'm trying to convey.

Interesting WindSong only because I resonate with you.

I don't believe metaphysics is more important than physics, this would be like saying my religion is more important than yours.

Everything we are aware of is here for a purpose, nothing is by chance I believe so everything has it's own importance in some way.

Would metaphysics be around if we didn't have physics to start with?

To me everything is of divine intention, how can anyone logically and metaphysically separate one from the other?

It's vast only because we are not aware I believe but as you become more this vastness seems to shrink, it's no longer so vast.

Good thread WindSong

I know a lot of people think I'm up my self, that's their problem, not mine. Just because I have had a number of experiences in my life and I am now expressive of these experiences I'm up my self!!

Anyway to add to their fantasies I will attempt to answer your query here.

Nothing created the creator I believe, the creator always existed but how?

We can only perceive in time and space, what if we could perceive without time and space and why not?

I believe the creator isn't determined by time and space therefore has always existed. This is a very hard perception for most people to understand because we are conditioned to think in a certain way only, in time and space. How could anything exist without time and space? I think it can and why not.

Yes Mathew, physics and metaphysics are equally important, but I think I got sidetracked in finding metaphysics to be more interesting.

I think another clue to what you are saying about timelessness is evidenced by the invention of clocks. This is humanity's way of trying to make physical sense out of something metaphysical.

Yes I myself find metaphysics more interesting, it's more expansive to me but of course many would disagree.

I don't think it's just to do with clocks WindSong, it's distance which incorporates time.

A foot ruler is a foot long obviously which doesn't just give us distance but time as well.

To us the ruler is a foot long, no doubt about it, it’s within this certainty we fail I believe because we don’t look any further than our certainty. To an atheist, God can’t ever exist because it can’t be measured; this dogmatism is brought about by certainty in an existence where nothing is certain!!

This is strange out dated mentality to me that there has to be time and distance.

I'm interested in metaphysics in all it's complexity
I believe in a Creator, The Big Bang theory just doesn't make any sense. Matthew I don't understand when you say a ruler gives us time as well as distance.

All distance is of time otherwise how long would a particular distance be? You could say foot long so it's only a foot long, no time is needed to measure this small distance unlike light years which does incorporate time obviously.

The foot ruler to us isn't measured in time but by length however how long would it take a new born to crawl along a foot ruler?

If you took away time the ruler would no longer exist, it wouldn’t even exist as a mental abstract so time also has an effect on distance as well. On the other hand could you measure time without distance? I think it’s an impossibility. Length and distance, like time and space, are relevant to each other; one can't exist without the other I believe.

Hi Serenity, I hope you dont mind me getting involved here. I was Sandysmiles many moons ago.

In the past whenever the question of creator as a first cause was discussed the explanation that always made the most sense to me was that time is not linear. In other words picture a record, a circle, no beginning and no end. In Hopi folklore they believe that the EWATT just is. Everywhere all the time.

I guess what I am getting at is that the concept of beginning is only valid in the physical world. That has helped me not to get stuck on,,,but who created creator, hope I made sense.

Even if the Big Bang Theory was true, it would have been caused by something.

I saw a bumper sticker the other day along the lines of, "Atheism VS Gnosticsm: You don't know and neither do I."
I always think that way when my friend bashes me for letting any esoteric word slip around him. Could you imagine the monotony we would pull ourselves through if every human being had the same beliefs? I think that many MORE people would be committing suicide or some other form of escape out of boredom and lack of meaning. We would know no pleasure, because we would not have the necessary opposites of pain and sorrow. Emotion would be empty and robotic. Forced. Our souls would rot, IF they had any sort of life to begin with! (And I doubt they would).
Life would be black and white, instead of multicolored.

The big bang theory, there are several other theories on how the universe was formed, pick one anyone you want......

Yes indeed, where did matter and antimatter materialize from?

If we all perceived the same....hmmm

Good point WindSong, I think our different perception do indeed give us variations, if we all had the same perception life would be more like black and white to what we have now.
