Several months ago I went online to become ordained to help a young couple who wanted to get married and was not able to get a minister to marry them. I know a lot of people don't think that online ordination are not valid but I think that it is and if you don't abuse the religious aspect and do what is right it should be ok. Please let me know what you think.

i think everyone should be ordained, its not something that should be a legality, or taxed, or in any way controlled by the government or the church.

Ordination is not to be taken lightly, impartation of A Spiritual Gift is to be done by the laying on of hands and through obedience to Messiah and the Father YHWH (Yahweh) Hope that helps kiddo

Freebie,

In Texas a few years ago, I married a couple. They got divorce. So I guess now it is a fonder memory for me than it was them.

I was ordained online. There are all kinds of laws about this and each state is different. As far as I am concerned the ULC guy had a point in that we are here to administer to each other. This is why I got this and thought that it might help in some way at some point. Just like anything else, I am a big fan of being responsible. Not going to say that you should or shouldn't do this to do weddings. It is up to you. I didn't do it to do weddings, but wound up bing that was all I ever did with it.

Susan

Warmly,

Susan

Susan, that is the pickle of it, counseling is pre-requisite counseling, as is traditional, is very helpful, not just for the couple's Union in Messiah (with the presumption it is a Scriptural Marriage) but also as a "weeding" out stage to make sure the couple is not going to be sleeping separate roms in ten years. lol But seriously....

Ministers of religion of whatever spiritual path should not even ask (or have) the authority to wed couples in a legal sense. A legal civil marriage or union should be a pre-requisite for any relgio-spiritual ceremony to take place.

Ministers should not be involved on the legal side of marriages because of the separation of church and state.

I was only speaking of those that Honor their Creator, of course, there should be no Union of any kind outside the Instructions (Miztvot) from the Law of YHWH (Yahweh) as given to Mosheh(Moses) and Confirmed and Completed through Messiah Yahushua (Jesus - wrong name). Don't believe me? In the end the Words of Scripture (Genesis to Revelation) and the other's mentioned here will be revealed and confirmed.

I guess you don't believe in the separation of church and state. You would like to impose your views an all people, no matter what their beliefs or backgrounds are.
As we will never be able to agree on everything religious you think that a world with continual conflict is better than one with peace and choice withing agreed and practical criteria.

That is the impression I have.

You may be given another chance to repent of your wickedness like we all are given that chance, I have been praying the door will not shut on People untill they turn, the alternative is, well, imagine eternal suffering.....Now realize that un repentance is so bad it is unimaginable....

You must be reading the King Swine Version or Anto Levey's Satanic Bible, cause ringtide, there is no word "church" in the original Mansucripts, rather the words Assembly or Congregation of Israelites, you and the entire Religious World and the clones that follow them, have been long time, dupped!!

The Bible also says, Judgment is mine saith the Lord, guess that doesn't apply to you DispersedOne. Perhaps you might want to consider your own judgments. Just a thought.
