So lately people in my school who dont know me have been calling me a psychic(I dont advertise this kind of thing for obvious reasons), it's getting ridiculous some kids think I'm going to "cast spells" on them . I dont like that very much. I think it's almost depressing to put such put a label on someone like that and it has started to make me wonder why someone who believes in mohammad would call themselves muslim, or why someone who believes in christ would call themselves christian... etc (to many religions to name off please dont make me ). Even if they might not believe or follow everything that has been taught to them? Although there is those certain people who believe that what they have learned is absolute law. I believe when we start to label people and ourselves it only clouds our judgment. Just to make us more comfortable with our suroundings by making everything black and white.

People started calling me a mind reader, a teacher started to mention viewing auras and telepathy, my math teacher mentioned how the pythagorean theorem goes back to magic ( not quite sure what that means) and then things started getting out of hand.

What did you do that they started calling you a mind reader, etc?
Or, if it was out of the blue, how did you "confirm" what they said so that it went on?

Ok, move on.
I thought that what you described presented some difficulty for you.
Apparently it does not.

It does and if you have any helpful advice I would be glad to hear it. I do not enjoy talking about my situation to other people now, I usualy just end up being called crazy, or evil.

People do such things because they hear or see things which they cannot make sense of, or think to be wrong, or are jealous of.
My questions were intended to find out what that is or was. The best thing is simply to stop doing them. Even if you do stop such characterisations may hang around for a long time. Move, either physically to another place, or socially into another social environment.

In our part of the world, woman who somehow manage to attract the label 'witch' are still in danger of getting killed.

It's rather funny what people would kill for. It's not that I hate wiccans it's just I find there religion can be rather funny like most. I just believe a persons power for change should come from themselves not from some outside source. Be it praying to god or evokations. Shouldnt we just get off our butts and go outside and make a change? It's also rather funny when one religion persecutes another. For example christianity calling wiccans evil while they themselves have no doubt killed by the millions in history through the crusades or witch hunts.

It's not my intent to attack religion here, I believe it is a very good thing for individuals but when you make an orginization out of it bad things are bound to happen.

We often find things we don't understand 'funny'.
Once could ask where is this funnyness located? In the person who does something, like performing a ritual, or the observer who doesn't understand?
But if it is in the observer, who doesn't understand, then whatever he finds funny, isn't that an inappropriate response.

I would say it depends on the users intent of the ritual if it was funny or not, after all there is an abundance of rituals in religion. For example in the tibetan book of the dead it pays homage to many entities with rituals and offerings. It's not the fact that there is rituals involved in wicca that makes me laugh. It's the way they advertise themselves. Where every other religion is very upfront about what they are about, they practise precaution more than any ritual. But since they dont wanna get left behind and still have to get there message out they have to find other ways. I've seen alot of this in fictional books. So whats more funny the ignorant laughing because he is ignorant? Or the knowledgable laughing because the other is ignorant? They both crack me up to be honest and I like to laugh with them both, even though I might not fully get the joke. I think this world would be a very nice place to live if everyone laughed at what they didnt understant. But I think it's more improtant to be able to laugh at yourself.
