Meditation & Nature

I've meditated in the woods a few times and I love it and hate it. I don't like swatting flies or if it gets too hot. There are a lot of inconveniences.

So I bought a UHD 4K TV and a 4K camcorder. I took nature videos footage. I then plan to play them on my 4K TV and meditate.

A friend told me I'm just wasting my time and I won't get the same energy as if I was actually in nature.

Artists will paint a picture that captures the "essence" of something and people will buy it. It's not a waste.

Does my 4K footage captures the "essence" of nature and when I meditate in front of it - am I actually in nature - or the next best thing?

Nature by itself is a powerful way to feel connected to yourself, and when you combine meditation and nature, it can change your entire perspective for the day.

If it will make you comfortable and feel that you are really strengthening your connection with mother earth. A quiet and peaceful place is enough to meditate.

I agree that there are some negatives like the one you mentioned. But the positives outweigh them so so much. And nothing compares to actually BEING there and meditating with nature

I have sometimes experienced snake like thing rising from bottom of the spine. At first I thought it was some spider but later realised same thing happens on few occasions. Still learning to meditate

The Agency of nature is the Devic Kingdom, nothing exists or moves without some member, a worthy topic for meditation.
