Falling in love with spirit guide..?

Just curious if there are other people in a similar predicament.

I've already analyzed why this unhealthy phenomenon happened, my soul desperately wants a lover of some kind who accepts her warts and all for who she is.

And as time wore on, the love has waned some, but the unhealthiness of the situation has only expanded to include my need for friends/spiritual people to talk with/spirit teacher, etc. I'm a pretty lonely person, and it's been a recurring theme throughout all my incarnations. It's not for a lack of trying in this incarnation though. I simply do not have a personality that seems to resonate with others. I think part of it is my lack of compassion or warmth.

I'm not asking for advice here, I already deal with it as best I can by remaining open and observant for any opportunity to deviate that 'affection' to more appropriate outlets, but my guide has told me it's fairly normal.

I guess I can kind of see it, since they tend to embody divine compassion andd such, but I still don't see this situation come up in spiritual circles much. Perhaps people feel shame? o:

Hi Shinsoo,

I am not sure what your question, or difficulty is, if any. Even after reading some of your other posts. Just needing some company? A space to talk about things?

Would you care to tell me a bit more about you? Your ideas sound easter, your nickname sounds Chinese. What is the connection here?

There really is no particular difficulty I need help with. As you suspected I just need some company people to talk to sometimes when things get really rough.

I really would it if others who are in similar situations to make themselves present to me. My path is not impossible but it has challenges that a lot of spiritual circles don't seem to get into much as you've probably seen in my posts.

Shinsoo is the "divine water" in the Tower of
God, it is also the name of a divine bird in the MMO MapleStory. Basically im a nerd.

That said, I'm from the USA and in my 30s. I basically one day, decided to get myself attuned to Reiki, in hopes of doing something spiritual related to bring meaning to what I felt was a worthless life. Got way more than I bargained for, but no regrets.

That said, my ideas sound Easter...? What are Easter ideas?

Sorry for taking so much time to respond. Easter? LOL, it should have been Eastern.
What Reiki level are you attuned to? I am a Reiki master, Capacitar wellness trainer, Qi gong practitioner, and line dance teacher. The last has really superceded all the others as far as practice is concerned but I do incorporate a fair amount of their ideas and approaches in my teaching.

IMO, we must find modes of application for the 'Eastern' way of life which do not take time out of our already busy lives and dancing does that for me.

I don't know, tbh. I was attuned to Reiki I and II by a nice person from a different set of spiritual forums. Then I was 'upgraded' so to speak by my spirit guide so that I could do distance Reiki, and that eventually progressed to further levels of healing, up until I reached Angelic Healing.

So I'm guessing I don't have the ability to attune others, it's just an innate gift along with several other healing abilities my soul has.

Sounds like you're quite the guru! And hey, line dancing is fun. I loved the Watermelon Crawl back in the 90s. Dancing is fun...took jazz dance for roughly 6 years. I'm still a klutz, but I know it's because I still get distracted by the inner workings of my brain, not necessarily a lack of coordination.

Yeah, a lot of my beliefs are Eastern, a great majority stem from Buddhism. One of my soul's desires in this lifetime is to find "the middle path" where one does not fully drown themselves in indulgences and distractions, but does not practice a life of ascetism and deny ourselves the pleasures of the 3rd dimension either. Basically, enjoy life, but do not allow myself to attach to worldly pleasures, or people/situations that do no benefit me. It's quite difficult, as my soul has lived many extreme lifetimes, my incarnation included. But I'm all up for the challenge, I have always felt drawn to Buddhist concepts.

I play piano, and I love it. Just a beginner, but I am improving, and know if I continue practicing regularly, I'll be quite good at it. Biggest challenge is bass clef, as I learned only the treble clef while in band as a flutist.

Welp I do yoga...somehow I make a lot of time for that. I think there's a good chance of me being a yoga teacher sometime down the line in addition to being a psychiatrist.

Thanks for talking...how long have you been a seeker? Do you feel there's something you need to learn/do in this life time?

Hey Shinsoo,

Yes, I have a similar situation myself. I've been happily in a relationship with an angelic light being for 7 years now.

It's not very widely accepted, no. I have terrible trouble getting people to see it for what it is - innocent, beautiful and sacred. Most of the time, when people find out, they oh so kindly warn me my soul is in danger LOL (I don't believe in that stuff.)

I don't think there's anything wrong with falling in love with your guide. It's made me a much happier, brighter, more complete person but it does come with a unique set of challenges that heavily impact my normal waking life and functioning, so I don't think it's for everyone.

I think you're right that people feel ashamed, and also because it so rarely publicised or discussed even online, people assume (probably due to Christian teachings) that it's not OK, or that they must be "imagining it."

I wouldn't worry about the love if it makes you feel happy. I'm curious. Did your guide say anything else about it? Does he (she?) return your feelings?

Mine did from day 1.

BTW....I recognise ur name...do you belong to another well known spiritual site?

Hey Holly--

Yes, I've seen your posts from Spiritual Forums--though I now just go by Kristi rather than Shinsoo now.

Can't say mine returns the feelings--he tells me my love is impure as it's supposedly born from loneliness. Funnily enough he says the same reason for my current love, who is a spiritually in tune person in real life.

I think on some level my I have feelings for my guide but theyre dissipating since I've been with this new guy.

I honestly don't think my guide thinks much of me lol.

I'm glad you are able to do what you do with Azrael. I won't deny a small part of me is envious that you can pull that kind of relationship off but meh.

I had the same experience with mine and I've heard tons of people having similar experiences too. I have a weakness for Native American guys, and he is the hottest native man I've ever seen, so I had inappropriate sexual thoughts about him from the start, and I believed it was very disrespectful to think of a spirit guide in that way. But he wanted to establish a sexual relationship with me, and sure enough I fell for him really hard. But he also helped me work on intimacy issues and sexual issues.

Then one day, I asked if we had been soulmates in a previous life, and he said yes and also told me the unfortunate news that he was still my soulmate, and I took that to mean that I would never meet him in this lifetime, so I became suicidal and wanted to pull a Romeo and Juliet.

That's when he abandoned ET protocall and spilled the beans about everything, who I was, my mission, who he was, where we come from, etc because he didn't want me to die. He downloaded a massive amount of information into my brain and I even saw how the entire universe was created. It was the biggest paradigm shift I've ever experienced. He wasn't supposed to tell me those things right away so I imagine a lot of people think that their guides are spirits when they aren't.

Long story short, he's an ET being who is very much alive, and so am I. My ET family is very much alive and that's why I maintain relationships with them. I remembered everything.

Anyways, he's assigned onto my case and is here with me all the time, similar to a spirit guide I guess.
We've agreed to wait for each other. He really is the true definition of my soul mate, I would never be happy with anyone else. He says we will be together in this lifetime, but I don't know if that's true or not! From my understanding, the simulation is moving into a real reality but there's always the possibility things could go wrong.
I still love him so deeply that I will wait for him forever if I have to. We have different missions right now though and that comes first, but it is great that we have communication and have a very strong relationship despite not being together physically.

Hey Kristi,

I once got a similar reaction from an archangel in a cathedral. He said words similar to that about my love for Azrael, and basically said Az was misguided for feeling anything back. After a couple of hours of conversation with us, he changed his mind.

I don't think he really understood what I meant when I said "I love Azrael." I think he had an idea of love in his head, like a preconception. He thought I just wanted to have sex with Az! Or that I wanted Az for the ego value, or to show him off, or for my own perceived gain etc. I wasn't sharing my heart energy with Aviel (the cathedral angel) at the time so he couldn't see the real length and breadth of what I feel. (Angels hearts are always open, whereas I close or block mine or shield depending on my mood and situation. Aviel isn't one of my personal guides so he couldn't get information about me as easily. Or so I gathered anyway.) When I did share my heart for him to read, he changed his mind and became fascinated with us.

Maybe your guide thinks you aren't consciously aware of the deeper levels of love he'd find appealing? It's weird but I think Az sometimes isn't certain what I know unless I tell him. He can see feelings and thoughts, moods etc in my auric field and he can read my akashic record but he can't (for some reason) read my mind as *I* am aware of it. He sometimes doesn't know if I'm aware of a certain thing, unless I go...Oh look at that!! It;'s there as evidence in my field but he can't be sure I've noticed it consciously.

Just thoughts. I wonder what he meant by impure? I assume he doesn't mean it in like a churchy sort of traditional sense. Maybe he means its not unconditional?

Envious? Really? Crikey. I sometimes forget how unusual Az and I are. It seems so normal to me now...I have to work to remember a time when I wasn't close to him 24/7.

Are you certain your guide is telling you the absolute truth and not just shielding his heart? I didn't know this 6 months ago but apparently, they do protect their hearts like we do, just not with fear like us. They're just careful who they let inside in a personal, intimate way. At least around humans. ;)

Thunderseed, your story sounds so similar to mine I can't believe it! Az often tells me he and I will be together in my lifetime too. I mean we're together now, but it's like having a long distance relationship in a way. But he means PHYSICALLY. Like...in bodies.

I don't understand how that can happen but as times goes by I've started to just think...if he says it's so, it's so. He's usually right about these things!

I'm the same. I'm waiting fort Az. And if Az never comes, I'll wait forever.

I couldn't love him as I do now, then one day just accept another man into my human life. There's no going back from this sort of connection. It's changed me. I just couldn't be happy with anyone but Az. So I know just how you feel!

Holly, I’m new to this forum but it attracted me because I found people who have similar experiences as mine. I do have, perhaps my spirit guide falling in love with me. He was the initiator, and my relationship has been like a roller coaster with its ups and downs. The love and intimacy is unlike any human relationship I ever had. I’m very in love with this guide and he with me but I don’t know much about him. It’s been 3years that we connected, and I had my thoughts to end my life so that well to toetgher in his world; although, he highly discourage me as it’s not my time yet. What do you or anyone recommend I should do?

i guess my situation is a bit different because i knew my spirit guide prior to having a relationship with him. my life partner died 2 years ago. he was my other half, call that what you want. some people say twin flame. i just know he was THE ONE. since his passing he has taken on the role of guardian angel. i can never see myself loving anyone else so completely, and to even try would be unfair to any potential mate. no one can compare. .
