Spinning while meditating?

When I am meditating, about 1/2 way into my deep relaxed state (I listen to crystal bowls and solfeggio frequencies while I meditate) and when the music is about 1/2 way done, I will begin to spin.
I lay down when I meditate and the spinning generally starts on my right side and I spin with my right shoulder going into the floor..when it first starts to happen I try to relax and just go with it, I have gotten better at it and the spinning will last longer now. Sometimes I will begin to spin in a lot of different directions like head over feet and sideways etc.

Can anyone tell me why I am experiencing this? I have a strong feeling that eventually I will spin right out of my body...?

any thoughts?

Love and light always
Denise

I have experienced the exact same thing before - at first it scared me, then I allowed it to happen to see where it would take me... the spinning kept going for a little while, then ceased. It usually happens in deeply relaxed meditation states. Not sure why... may be even a physical reaction of our senses, our brain loosing control over what it thinks is up, down, left and right...

When you are meditating again, just ask why you are doing this. If you are in a deep state, you should be able to easily get an answer and know that it isn't coming from you.

Yes I have and you are right. You will eventually spin right out of your body. One time I lied in bed and all the sudden I saw light in my mind's eye. I felt like I was spinning downwards and upwards, outwards and inwards. I opened my eyes and everything was shaking like an earthquake. I didn't know what to do so I just lay there and I really felt like I was going to be blasted out of my body. Curse my impatience! I couldn't wait any longer to wake up my brother. I said his name and pushed him a little bit and it ended. Now, though, I would know to go with the flow.

When energies set you on a spin, and you start feeling uncomfortable, simply asked to be 'slowed' down; it is especially wise to handover the entire meditation to your guides and gurus, or someone you pray to, so that you're guided well and protect well, from energy upsurges. They act as a buffer then, in regulating the flow of energy through you.

Over enthusiasm about meditation can also make more energies flow into system than what your system can handle. So take it slow, perhaps, or as your Guides guide you.

Though I may add, sometimes this spin is needed to clear heavy blocks in the flow of energies, so endure a while and you'd be fine. It is much easier than experiencing the 'same' spin in real life.

Now you have choice to clear your blocks internally or go through an entire life experience to trigger off a clearance.

One more thing, if you are not a grounded personality, you'd spin out faster, so learn to ground yourself, emotionally as well as energetically first, before go on an inward journey.

Stay grounded, that way you can ensure that even if you spin, as your energy frequency raises you don't get disturbed, and the meditation continues unhindered, that way the 'runway' effect which might be needed intially, to lift you off, into another frequency bandwidth or level.

Though, as your energies get lighter and subtler, you'd feel less and less energetic disturbances, as you'd be posing less of a drag to the energy flow through you. Thus shall have smooth rides all through, and land well as well.

Hi,

This happens in meditation due to concentrating on one certain chakra. Also if you concentrate on the place where you have this spinning, it will take you forward. It is called Kriya Meditation Technique. This has naturally come to you without learning anywhere due to your deep desire to know about spirit. We are a group of meditators in India, for whom this kind of meditation naturally started and we formed together to pursue this path. We have been pursuing under the guidance of a Nature given Teacher and some times the guidance comes from within. There are several people in the world, for who this is happening. Some think something abnormal with them. If you want to know more about this kind of Kriya meditation, we can help you as we have been into this for over 15 years. We want to help people who get this kind of spinning in meditation as once we did not get any guidance. Contact us and we will be glad to help you,

I have certainly perceived the spinning effect, but it feels less like I am spinning and more like the world is spinning around me. In closed eye meditation focusing on Ajna, the third eye Chaka, brings it on consistently but I first perceived it with no such focus. It starts gently and increases in intensity until I pull back from it as it can become frighteningly intense. I have, on two occasions, allowed it to progress with conviction to not give in to the fear of intensity. Both times I experienced what some would call a kundalini rush. Specifically, like my head was squeezed through the eye of a needle into an infinite expanse while an intense energy surged from the base of my spine through the top of my head. I can't remain in that state for long as the intensity is quite overwhelming, but so peaceful and refreshing at the same time. Tears flow without restriction, fears fall away and the perfection of everything seems clear. And then it fades like a dream leaving me to wonder if it is for real in the metaphysical sense or whether I've merely learned how to release endorphins without external stimulus. I've decided they are probably both true. (That "what" it is is metaphysical and beyond comprehension, and "how" it manifests for the physical being is describable from a scientific standpoint.)

Jayadev,

It is a good sign of awakening the kundalini. But at this time, there has to be right guidance. The guidance also has to happen naturally. The guidance can happen through NIRAKAR GURU (Ultimate guru who can interacts with your soul and mind in voice and thought format). Later he will slowly guide you to a Sakara Guru (who is in a human form). You will find the connection between your nirakara voice and the Sakara Guru. This way the guidance has to happen. But how can you connect to a Niarakara Guru?

This is the way it can happen. You can connect through Nature and its mantras. It is the NATURE (PRAKRUTI) that connects all souls and reaches their destinations. You can chant the following mantras to know your Nirakara Guru. If you wish to interact with me on EMail or phone you can call me or whatsapp me (+91-93475 78781) or [content not allowed]

1. Om Pruthvi Deavaya Namaha
2. Om Jala Devaya Namaha
3. Om Agni Devaya Namaha
4. Om Vayu Devaya Namaha
5. Om Akasha Devaya Namaha
6. Om Prakruti Devaya Namaha
7. Om Guru Devaya Namaha

You are probably in the space between in-body and out-of-body. I had a friend describe the exact same thing while undergoing acupuncture. You could probably astral project out of your body while experiencing that sensation. Before I go out of body I feel a vibrating sensation, like my light body is expanding out of my physical body. It's kind of like a rubber band/elastic feeling. You can control it- you can extend out and then pull it back into your physical body. Or you can tilt out of your physical body and project outwards. Have fun!

Spinning in meditation happens due to abundant cosmic energy and it is very good sign for spiritual practitioners as the Kundalini awakens naturally in this process.Check this video - youtu.be/2kOeusLMdG8
You can check also check other videos at youtube.com/user/prakritikriya . But if it is happening naturally, if one stops the natural spinning, they may land up with head aches and body aches, spine aches etc. The pain comes due to the technical reason of cosmic energies being stored at one particular chakra, the advancement of the cosmic energy upward through spine is essential for one's soul advancement. It is natural phenomenon. It happens due to the very savior spiritual practices done in past lives of the aspirant. It is self realization process. You can check these videos and even check the website http://www.omnature.org for more details

Yap it is a normal thing.
During the meditation a lot of energy passes through your body and your body naturally reacts. The channels are being cleansed
Don't be afraid.
