Shinsoo's Free Tarot Readings Part II

I am back--realized i really missed doing this.

A couple of changes though--i no longer do spreads, but rather ask a series of questions and then piece them together to create a reading. Sometimes, only one question is needed. Other times, four. I rarely go over that amount.

I currently use The Gilded Tarot. I no longer use Oracle cards as they to me--feel like a crutch. Not that there is anything wrong with oracle cards, just they are not for me.

Anyway, feel free to PM me, or drop me a message on this thread about what you'd like me to assess. Or just tell me if you would like a cold reading. I can do those too, though they are not my forte.

Only thing i ask in return, is feedback so I can improve.

Fire away!

Good for you, Shinsoo!

I love Gilded. It's been my main deck for many years. It's also the only deck I teach with (and my students love it, too).

I agree about oracle cards. I think they have a place in divination, but not for actual readings. And, as with all things, some are better than others.

I'm intrigued about your new method. It's a good sign when a reader creates her/his own method(s)! I think you've created a method similar to how I teach... "Telling the Story With Tarot". It's the connecting, seeing the connections and flow, that make for a good reader (and thus, a good reading).

Yeah, Gilded is really detailed--there's a lot to interpret and it is absolutely gorgeous to look at.

Yeah, I figure it's much easier to just ask questions like...if someone asks "do you see me with this person" then I just ask the cards questions about the two of them to create a story.

Spreads are good--but sometimes they seem a bit technical for me. Just don't fit very well for my style. Then again, some of the larger spreads are really good for exploring multiple possible outcomes, so i guess there's pros and cons to each method.

I agree about layouts. I think that most of the time they create a disjointed reading because the cards are disparate, rather than part of a whole.

I'll do spreads if someone asks, and I often show them a few layouts and let them choose. I've even created my own layouts, but very seldom use them. In fact, I'm still working on creating spreads based on constellations. (Go figure.) I've done an Orion spread and a Pleiades spread and am now studying Cygnus in preparation for a layout based on it.

I couldn't agree more about Gilded. It has so much symbolism, and since I use astrology, numerology and color in my readings, Gilded certainly fits right in. There's an abundance of symbolism and imagery to trigger almost anyone's intuitive abilities.

(When people ask me if someone is Mr. or Ms. Right, I tell them they don't have to pay me for the answer, because if they have to ask, the answer is no.)

Hello Annenz--

I pulled 3 cards for you

Representing Annenz at this time: Justice
Something Annenz is thinking about: Eight of Pentacles (r.)
Advice for Annenz: Five of Pentacles (r.)

I get the impression you are finishing up or have finished, a long project, a labor of love so to speak. I also get the feeling you aborted it early, or it didn't turn out the way you'd like. The Justice card ties in with that in a sense, that this result might have been better if you did something different that could have made the outcome a bit more positive. You reaped what you've sown. Either way, do not be too hard on yourself. Make sure you reward yourself well for all that you accomplished in that project, and take some time off to regroup and take a breather. The Five of Pentacles (r.) tells you to not lose hope after what happened, that there is help waiting for you, should you ever realize or accept it--you are not alone. It also tells you, that if you aborted that project, give it another shot. As a sidenote, given the reversed Pentacles in this reading, it suggests you are a bit ungrounded right now. Perhaps it is best at this time to ground yourself a bit--enjoy a hot bath or a long walk just to gather your thoughts, whatever relaxes and connects you to the Earth.

Hope this resonates--feedback is appreciated. I have a thick skin, haha.

Thank you for taking the time to do a reading it is appreciated. I'm not really sure about what the project is about. I do Howey understand the not being grounded I have felt a bit all over the place lately this week I took myself off to visit a friend for a couple of days and have come back feeling refreshed and a bit more grounded a break away is what I needed I think.

Eight of Pentacles could mean many things of a long-term variety--I went with project because it could represent a variety of things.

Eight of Pents could represent a career, it could represent a relationship, it could even represent parenthood, which is tough but often very rewarding.

General requests get general readings from me as a whole--there are sometimes when I get flashes of genuine intuition, but my best readings come when I have a direct issue to address.

Thank you for your feedback though, perhaps my intuition will improve with time. ^^

To those who want and seek "quickie" readings here, please remember to think broadly. Try not to dig into things and get lost in details that aren't present. Shinsoo already pointed out that "project" should be thought of in broad terms. Readings are also provided to give food for thought, to offer guidance for self-examination, to make one think.

Shinsoo is right, in that the better readings usually come out of a specific question or issue. General readings are just that: general.

Usually, when a reader seems to be wrong, s/he is picking up on someone near the client (literally near or emotionally near), something in the future that is so close or so important that it feels like the present, or sometimes the reader is just wrong. No psychic is 100%. And while all of us do our best to provide the answers our clients seek, the most important part of any reading is the client. It's the client who has the responsibility of gently considering the information offered (even taking days or weeks to think about it), and learning from it. There's always something to learn in a reading if we allow it to unfold for us.

This is not intended to be criticism of anyone, just a reminder to those who want readings.
